Welcome to the Sackville Medical Centre website
This website is designed to help you to quickly and efficiently access the care or advice you need.
We offer a full range of clinics and services, many of which do not require a prior appointment with a doctor. Click here for a full list.
We actively encourage Feedback on our services, and we welcome patient comments and suggestions. Please let us know about your experiences, both good and not so good. Feedback Forms are available in waiting rooms and at the reception desk, or simply talk to a member of staff. Alternatively, you can visit “iWantGreatCare” to review the service that you received. Please tell us who you dealt with – all our staff wear name badges. If you would be interested in joining our Patient Participation Group, or in the report on its recent activity, please click here.
At Sackville Medical Centre we have always been involved in training our future doctors and especially GPs. We believe this brings to the Practice a healthy learning environment, in which our trainees but also all the GPs ensure they are up to date, well informed & able to give the best medical care to our patients. For more details on our involvement in training, please click here.
New Premises and Practice update for Patients
We are pleased to confirm that building work remains on track for the new premises (the redevelopment of the Holy Trinity Church, Blatchington Road, Hove) into which we will be moving with Central Hove Surgery at, or close to, the end of March 2017.
In the course of our planning for this huge and exciting change it has become very apparent that it makes sense for the Practices to merge, and become one Practice instead of two.
We believe that a merger is in the best interests of all concerned in the Practice, including patients, staff and the Partners – and that it will provide greater opportunities for the future.
Access to the Sackville doctors with whom you are familiar will not be affected by the change.
We hope that you will be as pleased as we are about this news. We have already started to work closely with the staff and Partners of Central Hove Surgery, and look forward to formalising our union in the new building which will be called Trinity Medical Centre.
We will write to all patients formally closer to the project completion with more details.
We now offer our patients the facility to view parts of their medical records online.
Access to this information is via the online pathway that some of our patients already use to book appointments and order repeat medication.
If you are not yet registered to use our online services, please request an application form at the reception desk when you next visit the Practice.

The Practice will be closed on the afternoon of Wednesday 1st February, 2017 from 1.00 p.m. for staff training. We will re-open at 8.30 a.m. the following day.
Since 1st April, 2013, our Practice has been registered with CQC, which inspects GP Practices to check that they are meeting the national standards of quality and safety. Our Practice was last rated by CQC in February 2016. The overall rating for our service was found to be “Good”. Click here to learn more.
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings for doctors working at the Practice.
The average pay for GPs working at the Sackville Medical Centre in the last financial year (2014/15) was £83,053 , prior to the deduction of National Insurance and tax. This covered 2 full-time Partners and 3 part-time Partners, as well as two part-time salaried doctors.
